Abstract:
Describes the results of experiments on a 1/48 th scale model shear wall structure under the action of simulated wind load. They were carried out to provide information to aid the design of a 32-story block of apartments. The measured stresses and deflections are compared with values derived from a theoretical consideration of simplified structures.
