Title: Pullout Bond Stress Distribution Under
Static and Dynamic Repeated Loadings
Author(s): Ervin S. Perry and Nabil Jundi
Publication: Journal Proceedings
Appears on pages(s): 377-380
Keywords: bond (concrete to reinforcement) ; compressive strength; cyclic loads; dynamic load;pullout tests; reinforced concrete; reinforcing steel; research; static loads; strain gages; stresses.
Abstract:Eccentric pullout specimens were loaded with repeated static and dynamic loadings to determine the effect of the repeated loadings on the distribution of bond stress along a #6 reinforcing bar. The variables were concrete strength, number of repetitions of load, and level of repeated loads. The measuring technique and the effects of the above variables are discussed.
