Abstract:
A method for determining membrane stresses in the shell and boundary stresses on the edge members of hyperbolic paraboloid shells having an arbitrary quadrilateral shape in plan is presented. With the aid of the computer program described, a variety of architectural and structural combinations of hyperbolic paraboloid shells can easily be analyzed.
