Abstract:
Concluded that massive concrete structural sections of power plants and pumping plants could be made more crack free and watertight if cold concrete of lowest feasible cement content used and if minimum number of construction and contraction joints required. Special effort made to secure watertightness of horizontal construction joints with care to requirements for cleanup and bonding.
