Abstract:
Patent pending on new probe developed to assess workability of fresh concrete and determine degree of compaction after it is placed in forms. Tests performed with probe using water-cement ratios, aggregate-cement ratios, and aggregate grading as variables. Results show probe can assess workability and degree of compaction of fresh concrete satisfactorily.
