Abstract:
Experimental study of influence of load history on deterioration of bond along bars subjected to elastic stresses. Two types of specimens used. One series consisted of axially rienforced prisims subjected to alternating loads. Second, stress transfer along bars anchored to suppport cantilever beam studied. Cyclic loads imposed on beam. Results indicate that most important factor affectring bobnd or stress transfer is peak stress reached in pervious cycle.
