Abstract:
A method is presented for the analysis of coupled walls with door openings near the edge of the wall. By basing the analysis on the continuous connection technique, a closed solution to the problem is achieved. Results are presented for the case of a uniformly distributed lateral load. A comparison with frame analysis has given good agreement in the results.
