Abstract:
A method for consolidating freshly mixed concrete is described. The method uses the change in centrifugal force of rotating eccentric weights to provide the compacting force. Several pairs of eccentrics of adequate size, rotating with different speeds, are used. In each period of full rotation of the most slowly moving weights, a summing of centifugal force occurs providing the desired pulse. In the remaining intervals, the forces cancel each other. The method can be used for consolidation of a variety of materials
