Abstract:This paper a model for the relationship between strengths and strains for the compressed zone of elements of reinforced concrete that complies formally with the designs adapted by the NTC DF 2004. In order to verify the validity of the proposed model, the resistance, the depth of the neutral axis and the effective inertia of the section were analyzed. For practical purposes, the proposed model gives reasonable results when compared to other known models.
