Abstract:
This paper is the continuation of the earlier authors' paper, Romanowski and Cichoń [1] and presents the two FEM models for prediction of the degradation of plain and reinforced concrete structures due to coupled mechanical and aggressive environment actions. The complete model and its simplified version are presented. Two chemical deterioration mechanisms: chlorides diffusion and calcium dissolution and the influence of the moisture transport in concrete are considered. The usefulness of the proposed models have been verified by the example.
