Abstract:
This paper present a method for identification of the decreasing the project stiffness of building's shear walls caused by previous earthquakes, blasts, poor workmanship, careless exploitation or arbitrary reconstructions. The method is non-destructive and is based on the comparison between the dynamic parameters of the real building measured in situ with its unknown damages and the same parameters computed from the FE model of the project building.
