Abstract:
In this study correlation between the RCPT (AASHTO-T277) and long-term ponding test was evaluated using fly ash binary blend and its ternary blends with addition of silica fume. The fly ash was used in the increasing percentage of 25, 50, and 70% of total cementitious materials, while silica fume was used at 10%. Concrete specimens were evaluated using effective w/b ratio of 0.38. Mixes were cured for a period of seven days only which relates to the general curing practice in the construction industry. The results of RCPT are supported with statistical analysis, corrosion results, pore size distribution, and microstructure evidence
