Abstract:
The precast concrete industry is often forced to be innovative to survive. Customers and designers constantly demand new solutions to old problems in both the civil engineering and building markets. The key drivers forcing change on often reluctant parties in the construction industry are listed and some examples of successful projects that have utilised innovative precast concrete alternatives to meet those needs are described.
