Abstract:
The paper presents first some recent developments and trends in materials used for prestressed concrete. In particular, ultra-high performance concrete and improved corrosion protection of tendons are introduced. Subsequently new damping devices are presented which are used for bridge and building structures. Finally, a few specific developments and trends in building and bridge applications are given.
