Abstract:
Describes a shotcrete forming system that uses stay-in-place structural beams for the primary formwork strength and shape control. Reinforcing steel is attached to tabs on the beams at controlled spacings. A simple liner attached to the structural skeleton provides a low-cost backstop for the shotcrete application. The system is fast and easy to erect, and produces considerable cost savings.
