Abstract:
A new and simple apparatus based on the volumetric method has been developed to determine the air content of fresh concrete. This apparatus was tested with a variety of concrete mixes containing normal and lightweight aggregate. The results show that this device is reliable, easy to operate, and portable enough for both field and laboratory use.
