Abstract:
This paper describes briefly, in its first part, the design, the construction, the pressure and temperature testing of the two 1/5th models of a prestressed concrete pressure vessel built and tested in 1965/1966 at Chinon, to demonstrate the feasibility of the BUGEY-I P.C.P.V. operating under a pressure of 45 atmospheres, with a flat cap including 950 penetrations and without transverse tendons. . .
