Abstract:
The moisture content of concrete is important as a neutron shield in reactor vessels. Hence from the radiation shielding standpoint the highest possible moisture content is desirable. This paper presents the results of an investigation on the moisture distribution in concrete under the influence of increased temperatures experienced in nuclear reactor components.
