Abstract:
As a general rule the theoretical advancement of any product or system leads the practical implementation of the product or system by a large margin. Shotcrete of course, is no exception. Design Engineers have at their disposal volumes of theoretical data from which to design a support for underground structures. Where design data is not applicable, the old rule, "when in doubt, build it stout", usually is employed.
