Abstract:
The Finite Strip Method is used for the analysis of box girder bridgees. In this method harmonic functions which fitted the boundary conditions (bending and in-plane) in the longitudinal direction are used in conjunction with simple polynomials for the transverse direction. . .The analysis of a typical box girder bridge was carried out and a very good accuracy has been obtained.
