Abstract:In summary, I have seen a big improvement in the construction and use of more modern and sophisticated gunning and placing equipment used in the refractory industry. The introduction of the open top rotary guns, the use of special nozzle designs for better wetting and the placing of refractory castable using the dry guns along with the concrete placing head has opened up a new market. I feel you will see in the near future more sophisticated equipment for predampening refractory materials and because of these improvements more materials will be gunned and placed.
