Abstract:A machine independent data and program handling scheme entitled GENESYS (GENeral Engineering SYStem) is now being written in the United Kindgom for the Department of the Envionment. Five major subsystems for structural and highway engineers will be available initially and one will be for the design of reinforced concrete buildings.
