Abstract:
A discussion of the changes in concepts and philosophies which have affected the development of steel and concrete composite beams over the past 15 years. . .The key points are highlighted. Suggestions are also offered for areas of future research in the use of lightweight concrete and the use of steel deck as form work which is left in place.
