Abstract:The paper begins with a brief discussion of urethan chemistry as it relates to the properties of joint sealants. . .Urethanes are available in two component (on site mixing required) and one component forms. The chemistry and advantages of each type are discussed. . .Examples of urethane sealant use in vertical structures, horizontal structures and water immersed structures are given. Optimum and economical joint design for these are given.
