Abstract:The dynamic response of a large building floor system of a local college has been experimentally evaluated. The dynamic analysis of the floor indicates that the natural frequency and induced frequency are of the same order, thus the reason for the resonance problem. The dynamic analysis, experimental study, static analysis and recommendations for alleviating the resonance problem is discussed.
