Abstract:
Serviceability performance criteria for floor systems are discussed in terms of their static and dynamic components. Traditional static stiffness criteria are discussed along with a review of their strengths and weaknesses. Model performance criteria for serviceable floors are developed from a vibration veiwpoint. A new approach for future floor vibration criteria is described.
