Abstract: The extent of cracking in slabs reinforced with smooth welded wire fabric is determined by the bond and achorage properties of fabric as well as by the magnitude of the steel stress. Test results show that the crack spacing is controlled primarily by the transverse wire spacing and by the size and spacing of the longitudinal wires.
