Abstract:
Reinforced concrete cantilever beams were subjected to end deflection reversals of from five to ten times the deflection at yield. . .The paper concludes that closely spaced vertical stirrups significantly increase the number of cycles to failure, but the mechanism of failure may differ from that of monotonically loaded beams.
