Abstract:
The effect of temperature changes on the reinforced concrete frame of a long, two and four story, bakery structure is analyzed, and the practical solution is presented. At the time of design, computer analyses were not yet easily available and calculations were performed manually. After nine years in service, the structure performs as specified.
