Abstract: It is the custom in som institutions of learning that some one of the officials shall give, each year, an address entitled "In Praise of the Founders." It has occurred to the present speaker that it would be appropriate on this occasion to discuss, in a very incomplete manner it much be confessed, the contributions of the early workers in the field of reinforced concrete.
