Abstract:
Compact metal forms and mobile vibrating screeds were used for airfield construction projects in Asia. Such equipment permitted the contractor faster form set-up, stripping, and ease of form reuse, coupled with a high quality of finished concrete surfaces. For the Bolshoe Savino Airdrome in Russia, the construction included 6000 m2 of concrete pavement on a fine-sand base.
