Abstract:
Traditionally, unbonded, prestressed concrete structures are repaired by one of two methods: replacing the old tendons r adding new tendons and a new layer of concrete. Fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) and adhesives promised an alternate repair solution. The information presented in this article is the result of a research project performed to understand the behavior of prestressed, post-tensioned beams that are repaired or retrofit with FRP.
