Abstract:
During 1991, with the support of the US Nationa Science Foundation (NSF), the author visited laboratories in civil engineering materials and structures at various universities and research institutes in Europe. The main objective of this technical tour was to identify the strong-holds in research and development in normal and high performance construction materials and related structural applications in Western Europe.
