Abstract:
Civil engineering students from the University of California, Berkeley, won the 1992 ASCE National Concrete Canoe Competition held in June at Fort Collins, Colorado. The annual event, sponsored by Master Builders, Inc. and hosted in 1992 by Colorado State University, serves as a showcase for the versatility of concrete and the collective genius of America's future engineering leaders. The team score was based on written and oral presentations of the design and manufacturing process for each canoe as well as races.
