Abstract:
One of the important questions arising in precast reinforced concrete construction concrens the acceptablity of cracked framing members. Owing to the absence of definite guides for inspection, the fabricator often is penalized by unreasonable rejections. As an aid in this matter, a proposal is made for an aceeptablity clause which gives practical definitions of cracks and specifies limitations for acceptablity.
