Abstract:
A study of the stress distribution and proper spacing of longitudinal and transverse wires in welded wire fabric. Discussed is the development of a weld tester, to be used as a production control in the manufature of wire fabric and as an acceptance standard by users of the product. A technique for attaching SR-4 strain gages to wire reinforcement is intorduced. Charts are included to show results of tests together with discussion and conclusions.
