Abstract:These minimum standard requiremnts for precast concrete floor units are to be used as supplements to the ACI "Building Code Requirements for Reinforced Concrete (ACI 318-51)." These standard requirements cover five different types of precast concrete floor units: (1) I-beam type, with either cast-in-place or precast slab; (2) hollow-core type; (3) assembled concrete block type; (4) precast inverted T-beam joist with precast filler block between; and (5) integrally precast slab and T-joist. An appendix contains applicable sections of the ACI Code (ACI 318-51).
