Title: Test Hammer Provides New Method of Evaluating Hardened Concrete
Author(s): Gordon W. Greene

Abstract:The Schmidt concrete test hammer provides a convenient method of determining the strength of nearly any concrete mass that has a smooth, flat surface. The test is nondestructive. Results of tests made with the instrument are compared with results of compression and flexure tests. Factors causing variation in results with each test method are discussed briefly, and the accuracy of the test hammer is compared with that of the testing machine.
