Abstract:ACI-ASCE Committee 426, Shear and Diagonal Tension, has developed suggested revisions to Chapter 11 of ACI 3 18-71. The revisions are presented in a report of the committee. This paper discusses the major changes to the beam provisions and iilustrates the proposals through design examples.
