Abstract:Fifty-four precast concrete walls were tested to failure in order to obtain test data for comparison with analytical methods for wail design prescribed by the ACI Building Code (ACI 318-71). The empirical method of Chapter I4 and the method of designing walls as columns under Chapter IO of the ACI Building Code are both investigated.
