Abstract:
The strength and ductility of one-way simply supported concrete slabs reinforced with welded wire fabric are examined. The results of this study indicate that these slabs develop the anticipated flexural strengths, but may not display ductilities comparable to slabs reinforced with conventional bars. A minimum amount of steel is suggested for slabs requiring ductility.
