Abstract:
In a number of cases large scale vibration of fresh concrete requires that more than one mechanical vibrator is built in the vibrator construction. Detailed theoretical analysis has been done on the self-synchronization mechanisms of two coupled rotating mechanical vibrators of the eccentricity type. The coupling power transferred from one vibrator to the other plays an important role. As a main result /W/*/I has to be as large as possible (M = total mass of vibrator, 2/= distance between the shafts of the vibrator motors, I = dynamic moment of inertia of vibrator). Model experiments are done on two of the cases in the theoretical treatment. Results are in good agreement with theory.
