Abstract:This commentary explains Appendix C of ACI 349-76 (see Febuary 1977 ACI Journal). Appendix C which presents special provisions for design of structural elements subjected to time-dependent loads due to collision of masses (impact) and time-dependent loads not associated with the collision of solid masses (impluse).
