Abstract:
The load capacities of very slender reinforced concrete tilt-up wall panels on continuous footings are computed using a method which logically transitions from the uncracked to the cracked section properties as the level of flexural stress increases. One or two layers of steel and normal or lightweight concrete may be specified. A design aid is presented.*
