Abstract:
Expressions for the post cracking torsional and flexural stiffnesses of rectangular sections are theoretically derived using a space truss model. The inclination of the cracks is introduced as a variable. Based on an earlier evaluation of test data a method is proposed to calculate the stiffnessesthe whole range from the uncrackeced state. In this manner it is possible to ( mations at all loading stages, such as at to the fully calculate beam Service condition. The torque-bending moment ratio influences the de-ations considerably; the crack inclination and the shear also have a considerable influence. The developed quations show good agreement with experimental results.
