Abstract:
This research presents the seismic performance of a seismically damaged column with low grade GFRP material. The as-built column represents 1970's construction with inadequate shear reinforcement. Under reverse cyclic loading, this column experienced significant yielding, crushing of core concrete and spalling and eventually bar buckling. This presentation will demonstrate the step wise repairing technique with high early strength concrete and low-grade GFRP material. Then its performance will be presented under cyclic loading.
