Abstract:
A finite element numerical procedure is presented in order to model the response of concrete to the volume changes induced by reinforcement wear. In order to represent the change of volume and mechanical properties a thermoelastic analogy has been implemented as well as an accurate numerical procedure to follow the evolution of the stiffness degradation. A asymetric example is presented as well as some comments on the correspondence with experimental measurements.
