Abstract:
The Fourth Ring Road of Zaragoza crosses the River Ebro over a 396 m long viaduct on the stretch between the N-232 road and the A-2 motorway. The deck was constructed using a continuous beam of prestressed concrete divided into 5 spans that measure a maximum of 92 m. The single deck was designed for both roadways with a total width of 26.60 m. In the first phase, the central box girder of the deck was built by the cast-in-situ balanced cantilever method, whereas in the second phase the side cantilevers of the section were constructed using mobile framework that slid over the previously built core.
