Abstract:
Describes the materials and techniques used in a Japanese salt-damage prevention system. The system is based on a styrene-butadiene rubber cement mortar and an acrylic-rubber emulsion film, and can be used to protect new structures as well as repair those already degraded by the ingress of chloride ions.
