Abstract:
The author provides a brief history of the original use of shotcrete to provide corrosion protection for spirally wound prestressed shotcrete and concrete tanks. In addition, various failures are described along with reason for the failures. Details are also given of steps that must be taken to insure permanent corrosion protection for the wire.
